Iowa Fertilizer and contractors support Lee County charities

December 31, 2015

Employees at Iowa Fertilizer Company (IFCo) and several site contractors raised and donated nearly $5,000 for charities in Lee County.

“Iowa Fertilizer Company is an extraordinarily proud member of the southeast Iowa community,” Darrell Allman, Site Director for Iowa Fertilizer Company, said. “These donations are part of the ongoing
commitment of our employees and contractors to support the critical services that are making a
meaningful difference in people’s lives every single day here in Lee County.”

The funds raised by Iowa Fertilizer employees and the site contractors, including Orascom Engineering and Construction, Ryan and Associates, MMR and Brand Energy, were donated to the following

  • Community Services Food Pantry: The Community Services Food Pantry is dedicated to providing meals to those less fortunate and addressing food insecurity throughout the community.
  • PAW Animal Shelter: PAW Animal Shelter is committed to finding “forever homes” for lost, abandoned, abused or surrendered animals.
  • Emma Cornelius Homeless Shelter: The Emma Cornelius Homeless Shelter is organized to provide temporary residences for homeless individuals and families, services that are particularly critical in the winter months.

Iowa Fertilizer Company announced it will also donate another $1,000 to the overall amount contributed to these three organizations.
