Darrell Allman

Darrell Allman

Managing Director

As Managing Director of Iowa Fertilizer, Darrell brings more than 24 years of professional experience in the nitrogen fertilizer industry including the responsibilities of Site Director, Operations Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Plant Engineer, Technical Manager, Project Engineer, and Process Engineer. Darrell adds significant technical and managerial strength to an already robust senior leadership team that values safety, the environment and open communications at all levels.

Prior to joining Iowa Fertilizer, Darrell spent more than 12 years at PCS Nitrogen Company in Lima, Ohio. During his tenure, he served as Engineering Manager, Maintenance and Materials Manager, and Operations Manager. Previously, Darrell worked more than nine years for Royster-Clark Nitrogen Company (now CVR Partners) out of East Dubuque, Illinois. While there, he worked his way from Project Engineer to Maintenance Manager.

Darrell holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from University of Dubuque, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree from Iowa State University. He is a member of Syn Gas Association Committee, and served as its Chairman from 2008-2010. His affiliations also include the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He is a licensed pilot and has also been involved with the Boy Scouts for more than 30 years, including eight years as a Scoutmaster serving youth in his community.

Beth Niehus

Beth Niehus

Human Resources Director, OCI Americas

Beth brings to Iowa Fertilizer more than 26 years of progressive experience in all aspects of human resources in corporate, manufacturing, distributions environments, and public entities with more than 21 years of professional human resources experience in the nitrogen fertilizer industry. As a Senior Leadership Team member at Iowa Fertilizer, Beth is uniquely specialized in her role, gaining her experience from tenures with Terra Industries, Land O’Lakes Inc. and Agriliance, LLC.

Beth is skilled in aligning human resources management practices with organizational strategic goals. Beth has extensive experience in all functional areas of human resources including succession planning, talent recruitment and management, and organizational structure development.

Prior to joining Iowa Fertilizer, Beth served as Director of Human Resources for Gerkin Windows and Doors in South Sioux City, Nebraska. While there, she was responsible for leading and providing oversight on all aspects of human resources, including policy creation and review, employee benefits, employee relations, recruitment and selection, safety and workers compensation, and employee discipline.

Beth gained public sector experience while working as Assistant Director of Human Resources for Sioux City Community Schools. She was responsible for personnel related functions for the non-certified staff at the school district, including union contract negotiation and interpretation, employee record retention procedures and processes, employee relations, recruiting and selection, and employee discipline and discharge.

Beth earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Briar Cliff College, and an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Western Iowa Tech Community College. She has completed 14 hours towards a Master of Human Resources Development.

Ron Dlouhy

Finance Director

A lifelong Iowan, Ron Dlouhy brings more than 36 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership across a variety of sectors. Today, he serves as Finance Director of Iowa Fertilizer Company where he is responsible for managing all of the company’s accounting and financial services matters.

Previously, Ron worked at Maytag Corporation in Newton for more than 25 years, rising to the position of Financial Controller and Senior Director of Extended Service Products. In that role, he supported all of the company’s accounting functions and led major initiatives to drive business growth and sales. Most recently, Ron served as Vice President of Finance at Clysar in Clinton, Corporate Controller at Engineered Plastic Components in Grinnell, and Vice President of Finance at Aviva in Des Moines.

Ron completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Iowa where he received a degree in Accounting and later earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa. He is a certified public accountant and has earned Lean Six Sigma’s Green Belt Certification.

Active in the community, Ron has volunteered on the board of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce, the Newton Community Development Corporation, and Our Savior Lutheran Church. Ron and his wife Julie have been married for 35 years and have four adult children with three grandsons.

Holly Ritter

Senior Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager

With more than 30 years of experience working in chemical manufacturing, Holly Ritter serves as Iowa Fertilizer Company’s Senior Health, Safety, and Environment Manager. In that capacity, she works with the company’s leadership team and employees to ensure the facility is one of safest and most environmentally friendly in the nation.

Prior to working at Iowa Fertilizer Company, she spent more than two decades in health, safety, and environmental management at DuPont including a global role supporting the company’s 42 Electronics and Communications division facilities around the world. Additionally, her experience with DuPont includes serving ad EHS Manager in Belle, West Virginia and EHS Manager of Biosciences based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Holly holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Iowa and a Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Maryland. Additionally, she earned a Masters of Science degree in Environmental Management from Duke University. Today, Holly is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

A native of the Midwest, Holly and her husband Mick have three sons who attended high school in Fort Madison.
