Larry Holley

President

Larry joins Iowa Fertilizer with more than 40 years of experience in the heavy industrial sector, with three plus decades of executive, operations and project management in nitrogen fertilizer. Most recently, Larry was President & Chief Executive Officer of The CBM Group, LLC (CBM). Larry formed CBM, a single member LLC, primarily as a consulting vehicle to engage with private equity in investment evaluations across the nitrogen fertilizer sector. From May 2008 to January 2010, Larry served as President & General Manager of Noranda Alumina LLC where he managed an alumina refinery in Louisiana and a bauxite mining operation in Jamaica, West Indies.

Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mississippi Chemical Corporation (MCC) where he was employed from November 1974 until January 2005, serving in many senior management capacities across the corporation in engineering, energy acquisition, procurement, joint venture operations and production. While at MCC, Larry served as President of Nitrogen Production from July 1997 until December 2003, including a two-year period from November 1998 to November 2000 when he was seconded to MCC’s joint venture operations in Trinidad, West Indies as President of FarmlandMissChem Ltd.

Larry is a past member of the board and executive committee of The Fertilizer Institute. Larry received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University and is a registered professional engineer.

Dan Walters, CPP

HSE Director

Dan Walters is the Health, Safety & Environmental Director for Iowa Fertilizer Company. In the past, he held the position of Corporate Manager of Security & Environmental Risk for CF Industries and Terra Industries. Dan has worked in the agriculture chemicals field for 32 years in various production and compliance related jobs.

Dan has spent the last 11 years working primarily on regulatory compliance requirement tasks such as The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) Security Code of Conduct, and other Department of Homeland Security initiatives.

Dan is a past member of both TFI’s Environmental and Security Committees, the past Chair of the ASIS Food Defense and Agriculture Security Council as well as Past Chair of DHS’s Chemical Sector Coordinating Council. Dan has a Bachelor of Arts from Briar Cliff University and is an ASIS Certified Protection Professional.

Darrell Allman

Darrell Allman

Site Operations Director

As Site Operations Director of Iowa Fertilizer, Darrell brings more than 24 years of professional experience in the nitrogen fertilizer industry including the responsibilities of Site Director, Operations Manager, Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Plant Engineer, Technical Manager, Project Engineer, and Process Engineer. Darrell adds significant technical and managerial strength to an already robust senior leadership team that values safety, the environment and open communications at all levels.

Prior to joining Iowa Fertilizer, Darrell spent more than 12 years at PCS Nitrogen Company in Lima, Ohio. During his tenure, he served as Engineering Manager, Maintenance and Materials Manager, and Operations Manager. Previously, Darrell worked more than nine years for Royster-Clark Nitrogen Company (now CVR Partners) out of East Dubuque, Illinois. While there, he worked his way from Project Engineer to Maintenance Manager.

Darrell holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from University of Dubuque, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering degree from Iowa State University. He is a member of Syn Gas Association Committee, and served as its Chairman from 2008-2010. His affiliations also include the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He is a licensed pilot and has also been involved with the Boy Scouts for more than 30 years, including eight years as a Scoutmaster serving youth in his community.

Brian Frantum

Finance Director

Brian brings to Iowa Fertilizer more than 17 years of progressive experience in corporate and manufacturing finance and accounting including significant experience with publicly-traded entities. As a member of the senior leadership team at Iowa Fertilizer, Brian has valuable experience and knowledge for his financial leadership role, gaining expertise from tenures with Bratney Companies, FBL Financial Group, Terra Industries, Stillwater Mining Company and KPMG LLP. He has strong technical skills in SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, accompanied by extensive experience in all functional areas of finance, including corporate and cost accounting, financial planning and budgeting, treasury and risk management.

Brian has completed Lean Six Sigma training, earning a Green Belt designation and completed several process improvement projects. He has a passion to lead process improvement projects, especially where information technology can be utilized to automate a process.

Brian earned a double major with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and in Information Systems from Montana State University. He is a CPA with an inactive license, having left public accounting. Brian is currently serving as a Board Member and Treasurer for Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and recently served as a Board Member and Treasurer for Living History Farms.

Beth Niehus

Beth Niehus

Human Resources Director

Beth brings to Iowa Fertilizer more than 26 years of progressive experience in all aspects of human resources in corporate, manufacturing, distributions environments, and public entities with more than 21 years of professional human resources experience in the nitrogen fertilizer industry. As a Senior Leadership Team member at Iowa Fertilizer, Beth is uniquely specialized in her role, gaining her experience from tenures with Terra Industries, Land O’Lakes Inc. and Agriliance, LLC.

Beth is skilled in aligning human resources management practices with organizational strategic goals. Beth has extensive experience in all functional areas of human resources including succession planning, talent recruitment and management, and organizational structure development.

Prior to joining Iowa Fertilizer, Beth served as Director of Human Resources for Gerkin Windows and Doors in South Sioux City, Nebraska. While there, she was responsible for leading and providing oversight on all aspects of human resources, including policy creation and review, employee benefits, employee relations, recruitment and selection, safety and workers compensation, and employee discipline.

Beth gained public sector experience while working as Assistant Director of Human Resources for Sioux City Community Schools. She was responsible for personnel related functions for the non-certified staff at the school district, including union contract negotiation and interpretation, employee record retention procedures and processes, employee relations, recruiting and selection, and employee discipline and discharge.

Beth earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Briar Cliff College, and an Associate of Applied Science in Accounting from Western Iowa Tech Community College. She has completed 14 hours towards a Master of Human Resources Development.
